"Toupee", Hospital Cat/Feline Blood Donor
Hi, my name is "Toupee", Redwood Veterinary Hospital's official "Hospital Cat". I'm proud of my role here at Redwood. I serve as a frequent blood donor for other felines in need of a blood transfusion. You see, my blood type is great for being a donor. They tell me I've saved many lives over the years. Giving blood is kind of like my room and board payment. Actually I think I got the good end of the deal. I'm fed lots of good food, get better than average of attention and petting, have a perpetually clean litter pan, and get to lounge in the morning sun before appointments start each morning. Oh, and did I mention I get lots of food? Anyway it's a great life, all for just giving blood once in awhile! The next time you're in the office ask one of the Healthcare Team members to come wake me up, I'm usually sleeping on one of the doctor's desks, I'd love to meet you.

Andrea (Andy) Hospital Financial Supervisor
I have been with Redwood Veterinary Hospital since 1985. I started as a Veterinary Assistant not long after the hospital was originally opened. I currently am a Team Leader with my main focus being the reception/front office area. I enjoy all elements of veterinary medicine, but I especially like the close relationships we develop with our patients and their owners. When away from work I enjoy hiking, camping and spending time with my family.

Colleen, Veterinary Nurse
Hello, my name is Colleen. I recently completed my Bachelors degree at UC Santa Cruz. I joined Redwood Veterinary Hospital in the summer of 2007, and I truly love it here. Everyone is so oriented toward animal care-just like me! I love this work so much I'm even applying to Veterinary School. As far as my own pets go, I have one cat. She thinks she can do anything, but her wobbly legs give her some trouble. I look forward to a long career in veterinary medicine, as well as meeting all of your pets at Redwood Veterinary Hospital.

Debbie, Veterinary Receptionist
Hi, I'm Debbie. I have been a receptionist with Redwood Veterinary Hospital since 1999. I've actually worked in the veterinary field for over thirty years. I love my fellow Health Care Team members, Redwood's patients, and their owners make me feel so much at home. My second family at Redwood Veterinary Hospital has helped me through some tough times recently. My husband passed away in December of 2005 and they were there to give me a shoulder to cry on. I have also lost my best friend "Dodger" in July of 2007. "Dodger" was 20 years old and he gave me and my family a lot of love. I still have 2 dogs: "Winston", 11years old and "Chipper" 2 1/2 years old. Both are Yorkshire Terriers. Anyone that knows me knows I love cats too. I have 8! "Jacob", "TyTy", "Chevy", "Nova", "Jasmine", "Sissy", "Simone", and "Rhonda". Their ages range from 8-17 years with each one having their own unique personality. Away from work I enjoy music, dancing, and collecting cat pins. Most of all I enjoy spending time with my grandson Jordan who is 10 1/2 years old.

Dolores, Veterinary Nurse
Hi, I'm Dolores. I am a relative newcomer to Redwood Veterinary Hospital, but I have worked in the Veterinary field since 1988. I am very excited to be here. The quality of care we give to each patient is amazing! I live with 2 cats ("Kissie", 10 years old and "Tuffy" 5 years old-both are calico cats. "Dagger" is my 7 year old Chocolate Lab. In my free time I enjoy time with my husband Don and 13 year old son Dillon. We love to go camping (with "Dagger" of course), dirt bike riding, and take motorcycle road trips.

Fiana, Veterinary Nurse
Hi my name is Fiana. I joined the Redwood Team in the summer of 2006. My family is made up of my husband of 4 years, our 2 year old son, our 6 month old Pitbull "Anna Marie", and the 4 cats. My life is consumed by my great love for all animals of any shape and size, and above all my family. I enjoy spending most of my free time enjoying nature, riding and training horses, and reading books. If I am not at work you will still find me doing something with animals. This includes playing with my "Tasmanian" son! My goal is to help all clients of Redwood Veterinary Hospital develop strong lifelong relationships with the dogs they call family members.

Julie, Veterinary Nurse
I have been working in the veterinary field since 2002. I have been with Redwood Veterinary Hospital since May of 2007. I live with my Bulldog "Hank", my two Fox Terriers "Kyla" and "Zee", and my Shih-Tzu "Chewy". I love spending time with my family and friends and enjoy working here at Redwood. It's a great, uplifting work environment.

Kristina, Veterinary Receptionist
My name is Kristina and I have been a receptionist at Redwood Veterinary Hospital since early 2005. Actually, I have worked in the animal/pet field for 13 years. I love the fact that Redwood encourages us to continually learn about our profession by offering in-house educational opportunities. I enjoy this kind of work because it allows me to help clients and their pets on personal level. I also enjoy the fact that each day brings new and exciting challenges. I live with my 5 year old son Brandon. We have a cat named "Mia", a ball python named "squigins", our dog "Jessie", two fire belly toads, and a Beta.

Malinda, Veterinary Nurse
I started at Redwood Veterinary Hospital in the fall of 2006 as a Veterinary Nurse. As soon as I walked into the hospital, I knew I wanted to work here. Everyone is so nice and welcoming. I have been in the veterinary field since 2002 but have been passionate about animals my whole life. Currently I am 7 months pregnant with a baby girl whose name will be Emma Madison. My husband and I were adoptive parents of 2 dogs "BB", and "Kaiser Swozay", and 2 cats "Yogi Bear" and "Chezzy" for a long time before deciding to have one of our own. I love my job and I think clients can tell this by the way I care for their animals. I plan to return to work after Emma is born (for all my special client's pets). I will miss my co-workers and clients while on maternity leave. I will be back!

Marita, Veterinary Nurse
Hi my name is Marita. I joined Redwood Veterinary Hospital in late 2006. I love working with everyone here. I live with my husband and my little Chihuahua "Nemo". We all love to go on long walks and watch movies. Once we get our own place we hope to have many more animals! Right now "Nemo" loves being the center of attention.

Mary Elizabeth, Veterinary Receptionist
Hello, my name is Mary Elizabeth and I am a receptionist here at Redwood Veterinary Hospital. I just love working alongside a bunch of compassionate, enthusiastic, and educated professionals. I currently have two dogs "Sparky" and "Dodger", and a cat named "Snowball". I enjoy coming to work and learning something new each day. I hope to be a part of this wonderful company for a long time.

Phyllis, Registered Veterinary Technician, Staff Supervisor
My name is Phyllis. I joined Redwood's team as a nurse in the Fall of 2000. Prior to that, my veterinary nursing career kept me busy for 18 years in the Sierra foothills of California. Additionally, I volunteered for many years working with our local wildlife rehabilitation group offering medical aid to wildlife. I also contributed to their wildlife education programs. I enjoy outdoor activities, working on a "fleet" of old cars my husband and I own, renovating our old house and spending time with my family. My pets include a cat named "Elvis", two birds "Cash" and "Smitty", a dog name "Barney", a millipede named "Maybelline" and my very wonderful 75 year-old tortoise named Therman. I am very pleased to be here at Redwood Veterinary Hospital, continuing my challenging career in animal health care as well as expanding my veterinary knowledge through the in-house education/training program. I very much enjoy helping pets and their owners, making lifetime friends, and being a part of a great bunch of people!

Tammy, Hospital Operations and Information Technology Supervisor
Hi, I'm Tammy. I focus mostly on the business aspects of Redwood Veterinary Hospital. I have been with Redwood Veterinary Hospital since 1993. I have a dog "Stevie", who we adopted from the Benicia/Vallejo Humane Society, and who we adore. I have four cats ranging from 1 to 15 years of age. I also have an Eclectus parrot named Rita. Amazingly, everyone gets along pretty well. My husband and I enjoy camping, and "simple" home improvement projects. I also like to spend time gardening, reading, and sewing whenever I can. I can't imagine doing anything other than working At Redwood Veterinary Hospital. I look forward to coming to work every day! Even if I didn't work here, my pets would still come here for their health care needs.

Vanessa, Veterinary Receptionist
Hello all! I'm Vanessa. I'm one of the newer additions here at Redwood Veterinary Hospital. You'll soon be seeing me greeting you at the front desk. A little about me . . . I love animals! As a child I would play "animal doctor" with my pets or stuffed animals. I had the "Playskool® Doctor's Kit", a briefcase, and a lab coat. I've come a long way since I was four years old. Currently I attend Napa Valley College with a major in Animal Biology as I gain more experience in my career field. In my spare time I dance, play with my "farm" of 4 cats, a dog, and a bird, and love watching television. I look forward to a great experience at Redwood Veterinary Hospital.
