- Preventative Medicine
We offer vitally important programs to help prevent disease before it affects the quality of your pet’s life. From routine examinations and immunizations to heartworm, flea, and other parasite control these programs can go a long way in helping your pet live a long and healthy life.
- Well Puppy, Well Kitten, and Well Senior programs
These popular cost saving programs have grown out of our ever-expanding commitment to preventative health care.
- Modern diagnostic capabilities
Our Doctors enjoy the benefits of high-tech tools such as Ultrasound, Endoscopy, In-house Lab, and most recently
our digital (filmless) x-ray system. Among other things, our digital x-ray system allows us to magify, darken or
lighten images to maximize the diagnostic information. Additionally, these digital images can be easily sent,
via the Internet, to a board certified radiologist if needed (see below).
- Radiologist Consultation Service
With the click of a mouse we can send x-ray images to a board certified veterinary radiologist for interpretation.
In difficult cases the opinion of a specialist can be invaluable. This service is timely as well. Our radiologist
will usually review the images and send back a review in 1-2 hours.
- Advanced and routine surgical services
A fully-equipped surgical suite allows our doctors to address your pet’s surgical needs. We also maintain close relationships with surgical specialists who can come to our hospital so major, complex surgical procedures can be offered in-house as well.
- Avian (bird) medicine and surgery
Your bird can become ill but hide symptoms of that illness until it’s too late. Regular evaluations help keep your bird happy and healthy. We have doctors on-staff that have extensive experience with many avian species.
- Rabbit and "Pocket Pet" medicine
Several of our doctors have training and experience with these increasingly popular pets.
- Modern state-of-the-art anesthesia
Redwood Veterinary Hospital takes anesthesia very seriously. From pre-anesthetic patient evaluation, to modern drug options, to aggressive monitoring of the anesthetic patient, we do everything possible to assure a safe anesthetic experience for your pet.
- Pain management
Whether the discomfort is from recent injury, a surgery, or from years of arthritis, we believe your pet’s comfort is a top priority. All surgical patients are sent home with analgesic (pain blocking) medication.
- Prescription Refill Line
Current clients may request prescription refills by phone at (707) 647-4478. We are happy to offer this time-saving service

- Pet Portals On Line Access
New in Fall 2007, our Pet Portals program will allow pet owners online access to a personalized, private pet health web page for their
familiy's pets. Additionally, owners can receive email reminders about due and coming due medical services for their pets.
This is in addition to the traditional mailed reminders. This exciting online service will soon expand to allow pet owners to
make requests for appointments and prescription refills from their home computers. All we need is your current email address
to get this free service set up for you..
