Welcome!

Redwood Veterinary Hospital was established in 1978 with a simple, straight-forward mission:

Provide the highest quality, most comtemporary veterinary health care to Vallejo area pets.

Over the years, as Vallejo has grown, the demand for comprehensive, state-of-the-art animal health care has also grown. We continuously strive to meet these demands.

For 25 years Redwood Veterinary Hospital has successfully achieved accreditation by the American Animal Hospital Association (A.A.H.A). This accreditation requires regular on-site evaluations based on the highest standards in veterinary medicine, and puts us in an elite group of only 110 hospitals, throughout the United States and Canada, that have achieved this honor for 25 years or more.

Even the best veterinary health care is of no value if you can't get an appointment. For your convenience, we are open 7 days a week and Monday evenings until 10 pm.

Late breaking "mews".

New antibiotic for the pet that won't take a pill!
You've probably been there. Your dog or cat needs oral antibiotics for 2 weeks to treat an infection. Your first thought is how am I ever going to get this pill into my pet? There's no doubt that for some pet owners the effort to get that pill into "Fido" or "Fluffy" is nothing less than herculean. Within the past few months a new antibiotic has been approved by the Food and Drug Administration for use in dogs and cats. Called Convenia and produced by Pfizer, this new antibiotic is injectable and lasts 2 weeks with just one injection. This new drug is not for every patient or situation but may help many of those families where "Fido" or "Fluffy" just refuse to cooperate. Redwood Veterinay Hospital feels this new medication will be a welcome new product for many concerned pet owners.
